Goa, November 21, 2023: Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, inaugurated the VFX and Tech Pavilion at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. A groundbreaking addition to the Film Bazaar, organized by NFDC at IFFI, the VFX and Tech Pavilion is set to showcase the latest advancements in film-making technology, focusing on animation, visual effects, virtual reality, and CGI.
During the inauguration, the Minister explored various sections of the Pavilion, including the Cine Museum and Viewing Zones featuring content from Amazon Prime and Netflix. Notably, Thakur participated in a demonstration of Sony’s full-frame Cinema Line Cameras and engaged with young filmmakers selected under the “75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow” initiative. Additionally, he interacted with authors showcased in the Book to Box section of the Tech Pavilion. The initiative reflects India’s commitment to embracing technological interventions, establishing itself as a burgeoning hub for the post-production industry.
The VFX and Tech Pavilion at IFFI aims to contribute significantly to the evolution of India’s post-production landscape, showcasing dynamic and cutting-edge advancements in filmmaking technology.
