Shriram Millennium School triumphs at Gymnastics Event, Aruna Reddy Cheers Young Talent

Faridabad, April 21, 2024– The two-day Perfect Ten Gymnastics Championship concluded at the North Star Sports Academy in Sector-78. Over 400 participants aged between 4 and 12 from schools and academies in Delhi NCR took part in this championship. The overall championship trophy was clinched by Shriram Millennium School, Faridabad.

The international-level gymnast Aruna Reddy inaugurated this competition. As the chief guest, Aruna Reddy administered the oath of fair play to the gymnasts participating in the championship. Later, she shared her experiences with young gymnasts, leaving them energized and inspired. At the closing ceremony, para-athlete Kanchan Lakhani honored the players with medals and trophies. Renowned Bollywood singer Himani Kapoor also graced the occasion, boosting the morale of the players.

Addressing the participants, para-athlete Kanchan Lakhani stated that gymnastics provides an excellent platform for players aged between four and twelve to showcase their hidden talents. She emphasized the importance of not accepting defeat and striving hard to achieve goals. She encouraged them to pledge to move forward at any cost, ensuring victory. She congratulated the organizers for conducting the championship. Various age groups from Shriram Millennium School, Faridabad, secured four trophies, while the school alone won a total of 45 medals, including gold, silver, and bronze across different age categories, dominating the Perfect Ten event.

In this regard, Sandeep Kumar, Secretary Coach of Haryana Gymnastics Association, Government Gymnastics Coach Balram Kumar from Faridabad, and social activist Varun Shyokand felicitated the winners with medals and trophies.

Mrs. Manjeet Poonia, promoter of Revolution Forum, operating North Star Sports Academy, extended a warm welcome to all guests by presenting shawls and mementos. She expressed her continuous efforts to promote gymnastics in Faridabad and across Haryana.
