BCCM College marks International Women’s Day with tribute to women’s achievements

30 women from diverse sectors were honored for their outstanding contributions

Greater Noida, 17 March 2024– On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a grand celebration of women’s achievements took place at BCCM College, where approximately 30 women from diverse sectors were honored for their outstanding contributions.

Esteemed guests including former MP, Anita Arya, Sushma Singh (Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission and National Executive Member of ‘Beti Padhao Beti Bachao’), and Dr. Lalita Gupta (Scientist, Ministry of Defense, Government of India) felicitated the selected women with shawls and mementos.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Daman Banga who warmly welcomed the guests, while Dr. Himanshi Tiwari presided over the proceedings. Organized jointly by BCCM and CIHM College, this prestigious ceremony acknowledged women achievers from fields such as education, literature, social activism, sports, journalism, politics, arts, and culture. In addition to the awards ceremony, an engaging talk show was also organized, where women shared insights into the challenges they face in their lives and discussed societal perspectives towards women. The discussions also delved into topics such as women empowerment, acknowledging hidden talents, and mastering time management. This event not only celebrated the accomplishments of women but also served as a platform to inspire and empower future generations to strive for excellence in their respective fields.
