Instructions given to police, mining department and RTA to take necessary action against overloaded trucks on Pali Mangar Road: CP Rakesh Arya

Faridabad, 17 April, 2024 : In view of the Lok Sabha elections, Police Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Arya checked the police and excise department’s checkpoints set up in the areas adjacent to Delhi and UP border areas to curb liquor smuggling and other criminal activities and inspected the police personnel and excise officials present at the checkpoints. Gave important guidelines to the employees of the department regarding security and maintaining law and order.


To curb liquor smuggling and other criminal activities due to elections, Dera Bhati Mines Police Naka on Mangar Delhi Road, Gurgaon Faridabad Toll Naka, Shooting Range, Tughlakabad, Badarpur Border, Jaitpur, Durga Builder in the areas adjacent to Delhi and UP border areas. , Basantpur etc., checking is being done by setting up police checkpoints. While giving instructions to the policemen and Excise Department employees present at the checkpoints, the Police Commissioner said that during the election time, there is a possibility of illegal liquor smuggling, which encourages criminal activities. During elections, there is a possibility of fights due to partying, therefore, to conduct peaceful elections and maintain law and order, it is very important to curb all other criminal activities including illegal liquor smuggling. Therefore, the police and the excise department should coordinate and ensure complete ban on illicit liquor as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. He said that suspicious persons and vehicles should be stopped and checked thoroughly and drug smugglers should be kept under special surveillance and should be immediately reported to higher authorities so that strict legal action can be taken against them.


To stop liquor smuggling due to elections, the Police Commissioner checked the L1 and L13 liquor warehouses and their records were checked and instructions were given to maintain the records properly. Strict instructions have been given to the warehouse operators that no liquor of any kind should be smuggled from their warehouse, otherwise strict action will be taken against them under the law.

The Police Commissioner checked the trucks parked on the roadside on Pali Road. The numbers were erased from the number plates of the trucks and the trucks were overloaded. To save money, trucks run overloaded, due to which there is a risk of road accidents. Police, Mining Department and RTA have been instructed to take legal action against them. To hide the identity of the vehicles, numbers have been deliberately erased from their number plates so that they cannot be identified in case of any accident. Instructions were given to take action against such truck drivers and impound them.
