New Delhi – Late on Friday night, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale was felt in the Delhi-NCR region. The National Centre for Seismology reported that the earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale, occurred at 23:32 PM and 54 seconds.
The epicenter of the quake was situated in Nepal, with coordinates at 28.84 latitude and 82.19 longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The tremors extended to various regions, including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan in northern India.
As a result of the earthquake, people rushed out of their homes, concerned about the seismic activity. However, there have been no reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake thus far.
