New Delhi, Nov 7 – As the first phase of the Chhattisgarh assembly elections commenced today amidst heightened security measures, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi delivered a resounding message to voters. He reiterated the party’s promises and appealed to the electorate to reinstate its “trustworthy” government in the state.
Amid a heavy presence of police and paramilitary forces, polling got underway in the first phase of the Chhattisgarh elections, marking a critical moment in the state’s political landscape.
In a Hindi-language message shared on social media, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stated, “Chhattisgarhiya sable badhiya! Today, the first phase of voting has begun in Chhattisgarh state. We urge every voter, especially the first-time youth voters, to exercise their democratic right.”
Kharge further expressed his confidence in the continuation of good governance in Chhattisgarh and the preservation of faith in the democratic process.
