Industrialist Naveen Jindal joins BJP Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls, boosts Party’s Prospects

Chandigarh, March 24,2024: In a significant political development, former Kurukshetra Member of Parliament (MP) and Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), Naveen Jindal, announced his resignation from the primary membership of the Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Simultaneously, Ranjit Singh Chautala, an Independent MLA from Rania Assembly segment in Sirsa and a Haryana Cabinet Minister, also joined the BJP, underlining a shift in Haryana’s political landscape.

Naveen Jindal, who represented the Kurukshetra constituency in the Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2014, made his entry into the BJP at the party headquarters in New Delhi. His decision to join the saffron party was announced shortly after he tendered his resignation from the Congress. Welcoming Jindal into the BJP fold, the party’s general secretary Vinod Tawde expressed confidence that Jindal’s vast experience and expertise would bolster the government’s efforts towards enhancing the nation’s economic growth and prosperity.

Expressing gratitude to the Congress leadership and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Jindal emphasized his ten-year stint as a Congress MP and his representation of Kurukshetra in Parliament. He officially parted ways with the Congress, marking a significant shift in his political allegiance.
