MLA Rajesh Nagar highlights Population Growth concerns in Tigaon & Greater Faridabad during Haryana Vidhan Sabha Session

Chandigarh/Faridabad, 22 Feb 2024– Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, while speaking during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, reaffirmed his commitment to make quick decisions.

In the House, MLA, Sh. Rajesh Nagar has raised the issue that Tigaon and Greater Faridabad have become a large area in terms of population. Therefore, Tigaon should be made a sub-divison. Similarly other MLAs also demanded to grant ownership rights of residential properties to people living in urban areas for years.

Promptly fulfilling both the demands, the Chief Minister announced that Tigaon would be upgraded as sub-division. He said that formalities related to this will be completed soon. Additionally, the Chief Minister also announced to bring a policy within a week to give ownership rights to the people who have been building houses for years in the areas adjacent to the towns. Under this policy, people who have been building houses in residential plots for 20 years will be able to get ownership rights.

Notably, the Chief Minister has already announced of granting the ownership rights to people running shops and other commercial establishments on lease for more than 20 years on the properties of Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipal Committees.
