Faridabad : Vicky, one of the constable of Faridabad police has made not only the Faridabad police but also this industrial town. Vicky has won gold medal in all India Police Games in 92 kg weight category of boxing. He won the gold by defeating the existing winner of the same. Born in village Jasaur Khedi of district Jhajjar to Army man Sunder Singh, Vicky joined the police force as a constable in the year 2020. His first posting was at Faridabad and he was inclined towards boxing that made him motivated to practice daily. In the recently held All India police games at Madhuban in district Karnal he has made his family and the district Faridabad proud. Vicky has also won bronze model in the senior national games boxing championship held from 25th November to December 1st at Shilong in Meghalaya. In this tournament Vicky was the only participant from Haryana Police. He has been practicing regularly under his coach Ravindra and head coach Inspector Meena. His hard work has raised his level to the extent that he is now selected for National Games Camp.
Commissioner of police Faridabad Rakesh Kumar Arya congratulated Vicky on his bringing the laurels to the district police and wished him all the success in future tournaments. Police spokesperson Subey Singh informed that the games held in the October 2023 at Madhuban and the chief guest of the closing ceremony was CM Manohar Lal while DGP Haryana Shatrujit Kapoor was also present along with the other senior officials of the police department.
