Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 11: The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) is set to showcase a feast of 69 movies across 14 theaters on its fourth day. This impressive lineup includes 26 world movies and four from the international competition category, with ‘Totem,’ directed by Lila Aviles, being a notable feature in the IC section.
Monday’s schedule also features six movies from Malayalam Cinema Today, four from Indian Cinema Now, and 41 repeat screenings. In a tribute to the late director Siddique, the festival will screen his 1989 hit ‘Ramji Rao Speaking.’ Additionally, three films by the IFFK Lifetime Achievement Award winner Krzysztof Zanussi, including ‘Akaler Sandhane (In Search of Famine),’ will be presented, marking a part of the Mrinal Sen Retrospective.
Adding a thrilling touch to the festivities, the first midnight screening of the festival is scheduled at Nishagandhi at 12 midnight on Monday, featuring the cult classic horror movie ‘The Exorcist.’
