New Delhi, March 6,2024 – The Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi said that the central government has set a target to make 3 crore women Lakhpatis Didi across the country. The Lakhpatis Didi will change the Tasveer and Taqdeer of every village. Ensuring the security and empowerment of every woman is Modi ki Guarantee.
Addressing the Lakhpati Didi Mahasammelan through virtual mode during a State level programme organized in Karnal district on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi said that 1 crore women across the country have been successful in becoming Lakhpati Didi. Not only that, women are also ahead in establishing self-employment by taking loans under the Mudra scheme.
He said that women are also being trained as drone pilots under the Namo Drone Didi scheme and drones will also be provided to them. Its use will be in the agricultural sector, which will not only modernize agriculture but also provide additional income to the women.
He said that we have run the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, through which we have saved the lives of millions of daughters. Many welfare schemes are being run for women. It is necessary to give more and more opportunities to Narishakti to build a developed India, and continuous work is being done in this direction.
Target of making 3 lakh Lakhpati Didi in Haryana, training of 5000 women in drones to be given – Chief Minister
Addressing the state-level programme, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that today is a very auspicious day, when Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has made such schemes for the welfare of women, which have never been thought of before, and today the organization of this program Lakhpati Didi Mahasammelan is a unique program in itself. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the Lakhpati Didi scheme.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that today this program is being organized at 132 places in Haryana and participation will also be done by Haryana towards the goal of making Lakhpati Didi by the Prime Minister.
In addition, 5000 women in the state will also be given drone training. In the first phase, 500 self-help groups have been selected and drone training will be given to 10 women in each group. Under this program, 102 women have been given drone training and work has also been provided in various departments.
He said that when our Women become Lakhpati Didi, they will support the entire family as a mother, sister, wife, etc. He said that women have courage and dedication, and women are also the support of the family, so by enhancing maternal power, the entire family progresses. An educated and empowered woman works to strengthen three generations.
The Chief Minister said that today in Haryana, about 55,000 self-help groups have been formed, in which about 6 lakh women are associated. These groups produce goods and earn their livelihood. But to sell these products, market access is necessary, so it has been announced that ‘Sanjha Bazaar’ will be established in every city and town, where self-help groups can sell their products.
This announcement was made in the budget speech on February 23, 2024, and on February 24, 2024, the inauguration of the ‘Sanjha Bazaar’ was also done in Karnal. The ‘Sanjha Bazaar’ has also been set up in Fatehabad, which will also be inaugurated soon. Not only that, government shops are also being allocated to women, self-help groups on priority at bus stands to sell goods.
To establish small businesses for women, provision of a venture capital fund of Rs. 200 crore for guarantee-free loans, CM
The Chief Minister said that today women are progressing in establishing small businesses and for this, they need to take loans, for which they have to provide guarantees. To provide relief in this regard, provision has been made in this year’s budget for a venture capital fund of Rs. 200 crore only for providing guarantees, so that women do not have to provide guarantees for loans. Not only that, interest-free loans up to Rs. 5 lakh are also being made available to self-help groups.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that being an agrarian state, there is a great need for drones for farmers here. So far, farmers have been spreading urea in their fields manually. Now there is a great demand for drone-based spreading of nano urea, i.e., liquid urea. Now women will do this work. 5000 drones will also be provided, and the livelihood of women within villages will increase. Not only that, departments also need drones for traffic management, mining, and surveying unauthorized colonies, and now our Lakhpati Didi will operate these drones.
The Chief Minister said that in the last 10 years, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign run by the state government has shown positive results. Girls are shining bright in every field like education, sports, science, etc., today.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that a safe environment is being provided to women in the state. We have opened 32 women’s police stations in the state. We are working for the honor of women.
“Hum mahilaon ke samman ke liye kaam kar rahe hain. Hamari sarkar mahilaon se agrah karti hai ki kabhi na sahiye, khul kar kahiye, (We respect every woman, our government urges women to express themselves freely)”, said the Chief Minister.
He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has given the Guarantee and the Haryana government assures to fulfill all the work under Modi Ki Guarantee.
The Chief Minister said that to increase women’s income, for the first time, 33 percent of the ration shops have been reserved only for women in the state. In addition to this, it has been announced in this year’s budget that new 1,000 Har-Hith stores will be opened in the state and Har-Hith stores will be given to women with income less than Rs. 1 lakh on priority.
Encouraging women, he said that the problem of drug abuse is increasing in the districts bordering Punjab, so women can play an important role in keeping their families’ children away from drugs and keeping them away from drugs.
The Mahasammelan was also addressed by Lok Sabha MP and BJP State President, Sh. Nayab Saini, MP, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer, Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission, Smt. Amarendra Kaur. Women also gave a demo of Drones.
