Faridabad, April 04, 2024 : Following the directions of commissioner of police Rakesh Arya, the Faridabad police have been working on crime detection mode and have performed well. The police have succeeded in applying check on the crimes related to drug trafficking, illegal arms, gambling, illicit liquor etc. In compliance with the government directives Gramprahri and ward Prahari has been appointed in each police station. These Gramprahri and ward Prahari have collected data on criminal activities under NDPS act, illegal arms, illicit liquor and gambling apart from other criminal activities. This support has really resulted in applying check on crime, informed the PRO.
Under the crime detection drive the police has cracked heavily on drug traffickers with registration of 109 cases, arresting 114 accused. 115 kg of hemp, 28 kg of Bhukki, 63 grams of Hashish, 61 grams of Smack and 15 drug injections have been recovered during these arrests, informed the PRO.
In the cases of illegal arms a total number of 150 cases are registered while 159 accused has been arrested with recovery of 145 country made pistols and 119 live cartridges. It was also informed that the police, in this year has recovered 13984 bottles of English, country made liquor and bear while registering 384 cases, in which there were 401 arrests were made. The police has also been successful in registering 632 cases of gambling in which 729 accused were booked and an amount of Rs.20.62 lacs were recovered.
Commissioner of police Rakesh Arya has been taking all steps to go for prevention of crime instead of acting after the crime takes place. This has created a feel of terror in the criminals and a steep downfall in the crime rate is seen.
