DAV National Sports State Karate Tournament Concludes Successfully

Faridabad , 29 September , 2024- DAV Public School NTPC Faridabad hosted the two-day DAV National Sports State Karate Competition, which drew to a close on September 26, 2024. The prestigious event witnessed participation from approximately 200 students representing 30 DAV schools across Haryana, competing in Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories.

The tournament showcased exceptional talent, zeal, and enthusiasm from the young karatekas. After fierce competition, 14 students from DAV Public School Pundri (Kaithal), 12 from DAV NTPC Faridabad, 7 from DAV Public School Sector-37 Faridabad, 5 from DAV Public School Sector-49 Gurugram, 2 from DAV Centenary Public School Indri Road Karnal, and 3 from DAV Centenary Public School Kalanaur (Rohtak) secured berths in the national-level competition by winning coveted gold medals.

Prioritizing student safety, NTPC conducted a special fogging campaign to prevent disease outbreaks. The medical team provided round-the-clock care, ensuring a smooth and incident-free competition.

School Principal Mrs. Alka Arora congratulated all the winners and encouraged them to exhibit confidence and versatility at the upcoming national level tournaments.
Mr. Yash, Head of the Sports Department, played a pivotal role in the tournament’s success.

Several schools secured notable victories, with 14 students from DAV Public School Pundri (Kaithal) winning gold medals, followed by 12 from DAV NTPC Faridabad, 7 from DAV Public School Sector-37 Faridabad, 5 from DAV Public School Sector-49 Gurugram, 2 from DAV Centenary Public School Indri Road Karnal, and 3 from DAV Centenary Public School Kalanaur (Rohtak). These students have now qualified for the national-level competition.
