The Impressive TimesChandigarh, March 30, 2024– In a significant breakthrough, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police thwarted planned target killings by apprehending four members of the Prema Lahoria and Vicky Gounder Gang. The arrests were made following an exchange of fire, leading to the recovery of six pistols and live cartridges.
Meanwhile, in another operation, the Tarn Taran police successfully apprehended three notorious gangsters identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gopy Numberdar, Mohpreet Singh alias Moh, and Shamsher Singh alias Shera. The raid resulted in the seizure of 1.02 kg of heroin, three illegal firearms, four magazines, 20 live rounds of ammunition, and one vehicle in Naushera Pannuan.
DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that Gopy Numberdar has a history of criminal involvement, including the RPG firing on PS Sirhali. Additionally, he is known to have associations with gangster Lakhbir Landa.
The investigation is ongoing to uncover both forward and backward linkages in these cases.
