Himachal Pradesh, 9 March 2024– Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth & Sports Affairs Shri Anurag Singh Thakur is going to organize the biggest free medical camp of Himachal Pradesh at Ramlila Ground, Dehra tomorrow. Today, Shri Anurag Thakur distributed 2000 helmets by organizing a bike rally under the drug-free and safety campaign in Chintpurni and Haroli assembly and inaugurated the community hall in Brahmapur Gram Panchayat of Gagret assembly. Shri Anurag Singh Thakur participated in the Tridev conference organized at Gagret Assembly where he interacted with the booth guardian, booth president and BLA and discussed in detail about the upcoming elections.
Giving more information about the camp, Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said, “I have always been striving to ensure that the people of my Hamirpur parliamentary constituency remain healthy. We launched Hospital MP Mobile in 2018 to ensure access to health facilities to the last person of the area. Health care services were started. Initially started with two mobile medical units, this program has today taken a larger form with 32 mobile medical units. Till date, our hospital mobile medical units have traveled more than 8 lakh kilometers and have served more than 6400 and has provided free health facilities to about 10 lakh people in villages. Due to this, about Rs. 40 crores have been saved for the people. On the occasion of 10 lakh people becoming beneficiaries of MP Mobile Health Service, Himachal’s biggest free medical camp will be held tomorrow i.e. on 10th March from 9:00 am onwards in Ramlila Ground, Dehra. It is going to be a historic event under the MP Mobile Health Service. We have called a team of more than 50 specialist doctors to treat people in the camp. Heart disease, kidney disease, cancer, bone related diseases. Diseases, mother-child check-up, treatment of weak eyes, ear, nose and throat check-up or dental problems, all will be treated free of cost. For this, we have also made arrangements for free blood test and free medicines tomorrow. Along with this, we will also give free spectacles to the needy people after eye examination.”
Shri Anurag Thakur further added, “Each mobile medical unit is equipped with an experienced team consisting of doctors, nurses, lab technicians and MMU pilots who are capable of performing 40 different medical tests including KFT, LFT, Lipid Profile, Creatinine. , Uric Acid, BUN, Sugar, Glucose, etc. Apart from this, free medicines are also given to the patients.”
Giving information about promoting women empowerment through Hospital Sansad Mobile Health Service, Shri Anurag Thakur said, “The biggest beneficiaries of this campaign are our women and senior citizens. 65% of the beneficiaries of Asptal are women. Asptal has It has also provided new means of employment for the employees. Today 50% of its employees are women employees.”
Giving information about the mega eye camps organized so far under the hospital service, Mr. Anurag Thakur said, “So far four mega eye camps have been organized in Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur. Under the supervision of more than 100 doctors, 18,500 OPD and About 12,500 free spectacles have been made.”
Shri Anurag Thakur said, “Participation of youth is most important in the development of the country, but it is being seen that some young people are not only spoiling their future by getting into the grip of drugs, they are also not making any contribution in the development of the country. Are able to give. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has also called upon the youth to stay away from drugs so that they can ensure their participation in building a developed India. Keeping this in view, today I have started a drug-free, safety-oriented campaign so that the youth can be made aware of the ill effects of drugs. Under the awareness campaign, to keep the youth away from drugs, an awareness bike rally was taken out in Chintpurni and Haroli Assembly which will motivate the youth to stay away from drugs. Members of Yuva Morcha and local youth were present in the bike rally and keeping in mind the safety of the youth, 2000 helmets were distributed to the youth in this rally.
