Noida to have several projects completed by next year, CEO Noida M. Lokesh reviews status of projects

Noida , 09 March 2024-The board of Noida Development authority met on Thursday to review the status of development projects. Development projects were discussed with reference to the respective departments. Officials from civil, water, engineering, public welfare, general administration, institutional and industrial departments were present in the meeting.

Each department presented the projections and current status of development projects during the year 2024 and 2025 and apprised status to Chief Executive Officer M. Lokesh. Civil department presented the status of projects worth Rs. 1044.56 crores while projects amounting to Rs. 1187 crores are in pipe line.
DGM Civil department Vijay Rawal informed that the work on the project of elevated road on DSC road at Bhangel is already at the level of 70% completion stage. Rawal informed that the progress of the project would be reviewed every fortnight. The construction work on the administrative building in sector-96 is also completed at 70%. Both these projects would be dedicated to people in the month of December 2024. The proposed sports complex in sector 123 is also in progress.


It was informed that the Udyog Marg would be developed as a modal road. This project would be completed at a cost of Rs.50 crores with the provision of underground cables. The project is prepared without any utility being projected outside. This projected is expected to be completed during the financial year 2024-25. The 2.5 kilometer elevated road from sector-18 to 61 would be hosting nice barrier in a 2.5 kilometer stretch. This project would be completed at an estimated cost of 20 crores.
The work on golf course project would be completed in 2025.

The link line from LG chowk to Expressway would also be completed in 2025. There are two under passes projected on expressway. One of this is at 16.9 kilometer to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 131 crores. The second channel at 6.1 kilometer would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs.106 crores. Fresh tenders have been floated for the project of Chilla elevated.
In the meeting, the project of modification of market areas was also discussed. Brahmputra complex has already been modified while three more markets would be modified on the same lines. This includes sector-37 Godavari market, BDS bazaar at sector 110 and sector 110 markets. Each of these modification projects would be costing around Rs.2.5 crores. The design of the project is already completed and the process of tendering is to start now.
Rawal informed that an amount of Rs. 70 crores was taken in budget for development of rural area in the year 2023-24. This amount was spread over 59 projects out of which the work on 26 is already in progress. The same amount of Rs.70 crores has been considered in the budget of 2024-25 too for the rural area.


Rajesh Kumar DGM E&M informed that 561 spots have been identified under the safe city project. 2500 cameras are planned to be installed. The spots have been identified considering the safety of women and would be costing Rs. 212 crores. He informed that the e-tendering process would be started in a couple of days. It was also informed that Fasad lights would be installed in all the under passes of Noida. Due to dense trees in sectors street light poles of height upto 4 to 6 meters are being installed. In the new sectors five new sub stations are being built.


The problem of stray dogs was also discussed in the meeting. S. P. Singh, DGM public health said that dog shelters are being constructed in four sectors. Anti-rabies vaccination is being provided for street dogs in these shelters. Arrangements are made for treatment of injured jogs.
CEO M. Lokesh after the meeting said that he is very much concerned about not only the development projects but also for the welfare and safety of the citizens of Noida. He said that whatever is needed for the welfare and development of the area, he would be doing the best possible.
