Jaipur, February 22,2024– The recent gathering of the Regional Official Language Implementation Committee in Jaipur, chaired by Amitabh, General Manager of North Western Railway, sparked dynamic discussions aimed at enhancing Hindi usage in official capacities. Delving into the progress review for the period ending December 2023, the committee members explored strategies to amplify Hindi utilization in accordance with the official language policy. Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, highlighted the emphasis placed on achieving 100 percent Hindi correspondence, advocating for stringent monitoring mechanisms and the incorporation of Hindi tasks into employee evaluations. GM underscored the imperative for bilingual websites, urging prompt compliance from concerned departments. Adding a cultural touch, the 26th edition of the quarterly Hindi e-magazine, “Marudhara,” was ceremoniously unveiled during the meeting, symbolizing the commitment to linguistic enrichment. Chief Official Language Officer Pradeep Kumar Singh reiterated the mandate for Hindi correspondence, aligning with the directives of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee. Official Language Officer Gurudayal Singh echoed the sentiment, urging adherence to official language policies. With a focus on actionable outcomes, the meeting concluded under the guidance of Mukesh Saini, Deputy Chief Official Language Officer/Headquarters, charting a course for heightened Hindi integration in governmental functions.
