Faridabad, 08 Feb 2024– Celebrating the birthday of the esteemed founder of the Victoria Group, Sardar Gambhir Singh Banga, Faridabad witnessed a remarkable display of humanity and generosity with a massive blood donation camp organized across four Victoria companies in Sector 25 and Sector 58. On this occasion, Managing Director S.S. Banga said that for two decades, the Victoria Group has upheld the tradition of organizing blood donation camps on significant occasions, and this year’s event surpassed all expectations. The camp aimed to collect maximum units of blood to support those in need.
The event welcomed esteemed guests, including Ganga Shankar Mishra from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Haryana, Raj Bhatia from Faridabad Industries Association, and Faridabad BJP President Raj Vohra, ACP Ballabhgarh and Traffic Vinod Kumar, Bhatia Sevak Samaj President Mohan Bhatia, Advisor of Rotary Blood Bank H L Bhutani, Regional Contact Head of Swadeshi Jagran Manch Satendra Sorot, Gurudwar Sector 55 head Sarabjit Singh, Jharsetli RWA head Dharam Singh Dagar and other distinguished people of the city encouraged blood donors. The camp was inaugurated by the guests with lighting of the lamp and prayers.
The guest, Ganga Shankar Mishra, commended the effort to collect blood during winters when there’s a shortage. He praised the initiative of collecting blood for the needy in hospitals like Civil and ESI, as well as Rakta Veer. He also acknowledged the unique initiative of giving helmets to raise safety awareness, attributed to Banga. FIA President Raj Bhatia praised the blood warriors, emphasizing the importance of donated blood in saving lives during diseases like thalassemia or accidents, where one unit can save three lives. BJP Faridabad President Raj Vohra applauded Treeman S.S. Banga for his continual efforts in societal contributions, including environmental conservation through planting saplings and promoting road safety via helmet distribution.
ACP Traffic Vinod Kumar appreciated Banga’s initiative in providing helmets to blood donors, noting its impact on road safety awareness and inspiring youth to wear helmets while riding two-wheelers. 250 units of blood were collected in the camp organized through collaboration with BK Hospital, Red Cross, ESI Hospital, Santo Ka Gurdwara, and Rotary Blood Bank. CSR Project President Daman Banga highlighted the enthusiastic participation resulting in this significant contribution. With each unit capable of saving three lives, the effort potentially saves around 750 lives, for which Banga expressed gratitude to all involved, especially the Victora family, and thanked the medical team.
