Defence minister Rajnath Singh presents a resolution on behalf of ministers praising PM Modi for Pran pratishta at Ayodhya

New Delhi, January 24, 2024: In a momentous cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended heartfelt congratulations for the success of the pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on January 22.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur, addressing the media in a subsequent press briefing, quoted Rajnath Singh describing the meeting as “historic.” Singh lauded Prime Minister Modi for fulfilling a centuries-old dream of the Indian populace, emphasizing that the event marked a pivotal moment in the nation’s history.

“This moment has come after centuries, after the wait of years. India’s ‘body’ became independent in 1947, but the country’s pran pratishtha happened on 22 January. Fate chose you for this,” Rajnath Singh expressed during the meeting.

Singh went on to declare that the realization of Ram on January 22 was a significant event in India’s destiny. He acknowledged the extraordinary nature of the occasion, emphasizing the Prime Minister’s role in uplifting the confidence of the nation and fortifying its cultural ethos.

“The Prime Minister has with his work uplifted the confidence of the country and strengthened its cultural ethos,” the defence minister remarked.

Singh also highlighted the unprecedented unity in the country, drawing a parallel to the mass movement during the Emergency, albeit clarifying that the current movement for Lord Ram heralds a new era.

The defence minister characterized the Ram Janmabhoomi revolution as a singular event in free India, praising the 11-day religious cleansing rituals undertaken by Prime Minister Modi to lead the prayers on January 22. Singh asserted that these rituals had significantly heightened the national fervor among the people.

Rajnath Singh concluded by dubbing the cabinet meeting as the “cabinet meeting of the millennium,” emphasizing the profound impact of the arrival of the Ram Mandir in guiding the people for thousands of years.
