Faridabad, 17 Jan 2024– Haryana Technical Education Department hosted a historic program at the Government Women’s Technical Institute, where students from Government Polytechnic Institutes in Faridabad and Sonipat were awarded certificates for successfully completing the international NOCN UK Diploma. This marks a groundbreaking milestone as it is the first time in Haryana’s history that students from these institutes had the opportunity to pursue and complete this prestigious international diploma. The certificate distribution ceremony, held in high esteem, saw the distinguished presence of Rajesh Goyal, Secretary of Haryana Technical Education Department, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Goyal, addressing the gathering, expressed that the successful execution of this international diploma program opens doors for its continuation in the coming years. He emphasized the potential it holds for students to receive higher education at the international level, thus enhancing their educational and employment opportunities. Graham Hasting Evans, CEO of NOCN, shared his elation at witnessing the students’ profound learning experiences during the international diploma course. He emphasized that the acquired skills would not only contribute to the students’ personal growth but also grant them international recognition in their respective fields. Congratulations poured in from Margaret, NOCN UK Program Ambassador, as she acknowledged and commended the students for their exemplary achievement in completing the diploma. Dr. Sunil Abrol, UK India Head of NOCN Program, remarked on the historical significance of this achievement, stating that it not only elevates the standards of Haryana Technical Education Department but also promises a brighter future for the students. Meenu Verma, Principal of the institute, extended a warm welcome to all guests, expressing pride in the selection of the Electronics Communication Branch for the international diploma program. T P Rawat, Dean of Electronics Branch at Sonipat Polytechnic Institute, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the pride associated with having the Computer Engineering branch selected from his college. He fervently appealed for the continued implementation of this international diploma in the future. On this occasion, staff members and heads of departments of Government Polytechnic Institute, Faridabad and Sonipat along with many other dignitaries were also present.
