Faridabad, 13 Jan 2024 -CP Rakesh Kumar Arya initiated the “Hero of the Week” campaign to motivate police officers. Under this program, officers demonstrating outstanding performance each week are honored, and the Commissioner reviews their work over tea. Police spokesperson Sube Singh informed that the campaign has infused new energy among the police force.
As part of this week’s recognition, six police officers were chosen as “Heroes of the Week.”
Crime Branch Constable Vinit played a crucial role in solving the blind murder case (FIR No. 905/2023) at Palla police station in DLF. ASI Kamal, stationed at Dhaula police station, arrested a suspect involved in the POCSO Act and kidnapping case. The 17-year-old girl, abducted from Surat, Gujarat, was rescued. Woman ASI Neelam, posted at Sector 8 police post, demonstrated exceptional bravery by apprehending Rajat, a 39-year-old suspect involved in a heinous crime against a mentally vulnerable 44-year-old woman. The arrest was made within 24 hours, thanks to CCTV footage identification and technical sources.
Chief Constable Pramod, stationed at the IT police station, displayed exceptional courage while apprehending a suspect involved in various cases of illegal weapons, ATM card fraud, and snatching in Palwal and Faridabad. Chief Constable Gajesh, stationed at Dhaula police station, arrested Liyaqat for allegedly slaughtering a cow. Chief Constable Sunil Kumar, from Ankyra police post, successfully apprehended main accused Samim Khan along with other suspects – Zubair, Shahrukh, Om, and Saurav – who were involved in assault and illegal weapon cases. The police force commends the efforts of these officers in ensuring the safety and security of the community.
