New Delhi, March 18,2024: Ajay Devgn’s latest supernatural horror thriller, “Shaitaan,” has achieved a significant milestone by crossing the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in box office collections. Within just ten days of its release on March 8, the film has amassed an impressive total of Rs 104 crore.
In its second weekend, “Shaitaan” continued to exhibit strong performance, earning a commendable net sum of Rs 24 crore. Despite experiencing a decline of slightly over 55 percent from its opening weekend, the film’s actual drop in value was closer to 50 percent, indicating a resilient hold at the box office.
Directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios, “Shaitaan” boasts a stellar cast including Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj. It serves as a remake of the 2023 Gujarati film “Vash.”
Looking forward, “Shaitaan” is setting its sights on a final target of Rs 150 crore, with high expectations for its performance despite competition from upcoming releases such as “The Crew” and “Godzilla x Kong” in the ensuing weeks. Despite contending with new entries like “Yodha,” “Bastar,” and “Kung Fu Panda 4,” “Shaitaan” has managed to outshine them comfortably at the box office.
Movie enthusiasts can catch “Shaitaan” screening at their nearest theaters, with tickets available for purchase both at box offices and through online ticketing platforms. With its remarkable success, “Shaitaan” emerges as one of the top-performing films of the year, demonstrating a promising trajectory that could potentially surpass even the successful “Fighter.”
