Delhi/ Ncr , 3 January , 2024-Manav Rachna International School, Sector 21C, Faridabad recently hosted its Annual Sports Day, ‘गति – racing with time’ at the Cricket Grounds of Manav Rachna Campus in Aravali Hills, Faridabad. The event witnessed an exhilarating display of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the students, teachers, and parents.
The morning commenced with much zeal and excitement as students of Bloomz to Grade 2 participated in various sports activities. Event began with a power-packed band performance by students, setting the tone for the day.
Event was attended by Indian Former Cricketer, Mr. Chetan Sharma as Chief Guest and Ms. Suprita Das – Sports Journalist and Media Manager- Delhi Capitals marked her presence as the Guest of Honor along with Dr. Amit Bhalla – Vice President, MREI; Ms. Nisha Bhalla – Executive Director, MRIS Sector 21C and Charmwood, Faridabad; Sh. Sarkar Talwar – Director, Sports and Ms. Sanyogita Sharma – Director, MRIS.
Mr. Chetan Sharma addressed the audience stating, “my relationship with Manav Rachna goes back to the starting days of this institution and I truly appreciate the dedication and commitment towards sports at every level, be it in schools or higher education realms. It is truly a pleasure to see these little performers participate in Yoga, Taekwondo and different races with such fair play”.
Dr. Amit Bhalla congratulated the parents and school team highlighting, “what we have witnessed here is the perfect display of sportsmanship spirit that is being embedded in these young learners right from the start.”
Ms. Nisha Bhalla, Executive Director, MRIS 21C and Charmwood, commended the school’s efforts in providing an environment conducive to learning and progress in sports.
The release of helium balloons by the dignitaries symbolized the soaring ambitions of the students striving for excellence. Throughout the day, students showcased their athletic prowess in various races, sports drills, yoga, and a taekwondo match, displaying exemplary coordination and skill.
The day ended with a friendly soccer match Mums vs Dads, lasting memories of togetherness, laughter, and fun for both parents and children.
