DAV Public School hosts Thrilling conclusions to DAV Sports State (Zonal) Handball Tournament

Faridabad , 16 December 2023 – The DAV Sports State (Zonal) Level Handball Tournament, hosted by DAV Public School, Sector 49, Faridabad came to an exhilarating close today. The event, which spanned from December 15 to 17, witnessed fierce competition among teams from various districts in Haryana.

Teams in the U-t4, U-17, and U-19 categories (BoVs and cirls) from DAV schools in Gurugram, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Narnaul and Faridabad showcased their handball prowess throughout the tournament. ln a display of skill and determination, DAV Police Public School Gurugram emerged as the dominant force. The U-19 girls’team from DAV Sainik Colony, Faridabad emerged as the winner.

Not only U-17 and U-14 girls’teams but also U-19, U-77 and U-14 boys’ teams from DAV Police Public School, Gurugram secured victories in their respective categories, showcasing their exceptional talent on the field. The Principal, Shri Rajan Gautam expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their dedication and sportsmanship. He commended their efforts in making the tournament a memorable and competitive event.

He also wished them good luck for the upcoming selection process to represent Haryana in the National Handball Team (Boys and Girls). Coaches, officials, and participants expressed their gratitude to DAV public School, Sec-49 Faridabad, for hosting the tournament seamlessly.
