POWERGRID,NR-I Signed a MOU with Central Institute of Petrochemical Engineering & Technology (CIPET) for Imparting Skill Development Programmes

NEW DELHI, 23 FEB , 2024 -POWERGRID, (Northern Region-I) a Maharana CPSE, Signed a MOU on 22 Feb, 2024  with The Central Institute of Petrochemical Engineering & Technology (CIPET) ( A premier National Institution  under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India) at RHQ, Faridabad Office for imparting skill development training programme for under privileged/unemployed youth of the Society, at CIPET, Murthal, Haryana under CSR initiatives of POWERGRID.  The Estimated Project  cost  is approx. Rs. 1.5 Crores .

POWERGRID, CSR Deptt. has always been working in line with the nation’s plan for developing  skills ,opportunities, self – employment as well as development of entrepreneurs. To achieve this objective, POWERGRID has signed MOU with CIPET, Murthal for six months Skill Development Training Programme in the field of Plastic Engineering & Technology for the 160 underprivileged /unemployed youth on  residential basis. Above tech skill development programme will have 40 students therein 10 % seats have been reserved for girl students.

The skill development program will be  imparted for the developing following skills:i) Machine Operator- Plastics Processing (MO-PP)ii) Machine Operator-Injection Molding (MO-IM)iii) Machine Operator- Plastic Extrusion (MO-PE)iv) Machine Operator-Blow Molding (MO-BM)The said MOU was signed by Shri Ashok Kumar Mishra, GM(HR-CSR), POWERGRID, NR-I and  Dr.Harendra Kumar ,Joint Director & Head, CIPET, Murthal in the august presence of Shri A.K.Mishra, ED, NR-I. Shri S.K.Verma, GM(HR-HOP) & other Senior officials of POWERGRID, NR-I were also present on this occasion.
